Definition: "Web 2.0 refers to applications on the World Wide Web that facilitate interaction, collaboration, and access, such as social networking sites, hosted services, and Web applications."2 Web 2.0 encourages students to participate in discussions and projects, with an added appeal to students with disabilities because they can contribute according to their abilities.
Examples: Wiki's and blogs are prime examples because they allow students to use the Internet for research and provide spaces where students can discuss the video or topic posed in the blog. Additionally, students can add, delete, or edit their postings that may be text, pictures, or charts.
